Manage a trip budget

Set the trip total

Open Budget and choose Set budget. The progress view compares the trip total with the cost currently recorded and shows what remains or how far the plan is over. A pace indicator adds time context as the trip progresses.

What Navio counts

• Manual expenses added in Budget.
• Reservation totals linked to the ledger during import or booking entry.
• Costs entered on itinerary activities.

Currencies and categories

Choose the display currency for the trip, then enter each cost in the currency you actually paid or expect to pay. Navio converts supported currencies for the running total and keeps the original amount visible. Exchange rates change, so treat converted totals as planning estimates rather than card-statement values.

Expenses can be grouped as accommodation, transportation, food, activities, shopping, or other. Edit an activity cost from Itinerary and a linked booking cost from Reservations. Manual expenses can be edited directly in the ledger.
