Terms of Service

Effective July 3, 2026. The agreement between you and Navio, written in plain language.

1. The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Navio, operated from Toronto, Ontario, Canada (“Navio”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using naviotravel.com and the Navio application (the “Service”), you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of this agreement.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age in your jurisdiction) and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@naviotravel.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. The Service

Navio helps you plan and travel: itineraries, budgets, packing lists, reservations, maps, and companion features that surface suggestions and alerts. Some capabilities are labeled as previews or in development; they may change, and suggestions generated by AI systems can be wrong.

Important: Navio provides planning assistance, not guarantees. Opening hours, prices, weather, transit schedules, visa rules and booking conditions change constantly. Always verify critical details (reservations, entry requirements, cancellation terms, safety guidance) with the venue, carrier or authority directly before relying on them. Navio is not a travel agency, is not a party to bookings you make with third parties, and does not provide legal, medical or safety advice.

4. Plans, trials and billing

  • Free plan: up to 3 current or upcoming trips, each up to 90 days. A slot becomes available when a trip ends.
  • Premium Annual ($49.99 USD/year): starts with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the annual fee is charged and renews yearly until you cancel. Canceling stops future renewals; your Premium features run to the end of the paid period.
  • Premium Per Trip ($19.99 USD): one-time purchase that adds one current or upcoming trip slot beyond the Free limit. The additional trip can be up to 90 days.

Prices may change; changes never apply retroactively to a period you've already paid for, and we'll give you notice before any renewal at a new price. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable once a paid period has started, but if something went genuinely wrong, write to us; we're reasonable.

5. Your content

Your trips, notes, images and other content belong to you. You give us the limited license needed to operate the Service: to host, store, display and process your content in order to provide Navio's features to you and anyone you share a trip with. That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual backup copies that expire on a rolling basis.

Don't upload content you don't have the right to use, and don't use the Service to store anything unlawful.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Do not scrape or bulk-extract data, including map and place data, beyond normal personal use.
  • Do not use the Service to harass others, infringe rights or violate the law.
  • Do not resell or white-label the Service without a written agreement with us.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. Third-party services

The Service incorporates third-party services, including Google Maps and Google Places. Your use of Google Maps features is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service. Links to venues, operators and booking sites lead to businesses we don't control; your dealings with them are between you and them.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that suggestions (including AI-generated ones) will be accurate or suitable for your circumstances.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Navio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or costs arising from travel decisions made in reliance on the Service (including missed bookings, cancellations, or changes in conditions at your destination). Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $50 USD or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content or your misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for violation of these terms, for legal reasons, or with reasonable notice if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 5, 8, 9 and 10) survive.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario, and you and Navio each consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.

13. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms: support@naviotravel.com or via our contact page.
